HTC Unveils New Smartphone J Butterfly in Japan

Taiwanese Smart phones Tablets maker HTC has announced its first Smartphone – HTC J Butterfly – that comes with a full HD display. The Smartphone features a 5-inch Super LCD 3 display with 1920×1080 pixel display.

The company has introduced the model in Japan and informed that it will be available in Japan in early December. News about the launch of the product internationally has yet to be confirmed.

What makes the new HTC J Butterfly stand out from the other Smart phones is that, as the company claims, it is the first full HD Smart phone available till now. The phone’s 143 x 71 x 9.1 mm display sports a massive 440 ppi (pixels-per-inch).

Some of the other features of the new Smart phone that runs on a quad-core Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 processor include: HTC Sense 4+; 2GB of RAM; 16GB internal storage capacity that is expandable with a microSD card slot; 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera; Android 4.1, and 2020 mAh battery.

For connectivity, the new HTC J Butterfly has a HDMI out, Infrared, microUSB, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and NFC. Rumors have it that the new model will be released in three different colors. However, there is no word on the pricing details yet but it is expected to be on the higher end keeping in mind the size and the specs of the handset.
