In the Quest for a $ 100 Laptop

Hisense Sero 7LT was released earlier in 2013 and available at Wal-Mart can definitely be considered an equivalent of $ 100 laptop aimed towards American mass market.

Over the years, the personal computing market has witnessed many changes and it is definitely not an easy task to find a computer that has a price range of around $ 100.

The device is more of a tablet than a laptop and supposedly more lighter, smaller and thinner than majority of other notebooks. The tablet does not feature Intel inside it and instead, runs on a contemporary Android version which supports Google Play and even grants access to millions of apps.

When the device was introduced to the market it was priced around $ 99 but, soon the price was dropped to $ 79 after HP introduced a seven inch slate.

A good part about this device is that it can be connected to a TV using the HDMI port. TVs can also be connected wirelessly through Chromecast. Although, the device is of no competition to the iPad Mini or Nexus but, it has received positive feedbacks from the customers.

The device has 4GB flash memory without any Bluetooth functionality. Apart from this device, Wal-Mart also features an Android Nextbook seven inch tablet priced at $ 60 and the eight inch model is priced at $ 99.
