The upgrade of features in Galaxy Note III due to Android KitKat 4.4.2KitKat is mostly similarly to that in Galaxy S4, which was upgraded to KitKat earlier. Shortcut to lock-screen camera, full-screen art album on lock-screen, white status-bar icons, etc. are some of the features that can be utilised on KitKat 4.4.2.

The improvement of performance has been such that it even speeds up unlocking Note III. Android KitKat 4.4.2 KitKat upgrade is downloadable for all users of Galaxy Note III. However, users of carrier-branded device will have to wait until their operator approves the update for release. The approval process is routine that carriers do not omit for any update and users are well aware of it.
