Huawei has freshly unveiled its new Ascend P6 smartphone. However, as per the reports, the company will be releasing the phone only in Western Europe and China.

The company’s Emotion UI will feature new facial recognition and panoramic shooting options. The AirSharing feature will enable the user to connect to other devices for gaming or share documents.
The new Windows Phone from Huawei is now available in the United Sates. On Wal-Mart’s official website, the Huawei W1 is being listed “In Stock”, with a price-tag of $229.99. The device comes with the prepaid service “Straight Talk” and the megastore says that the smartphone can be used only with the service’s unlimited national and international plans that come for $45 and $60 respectively. This includes unlimited talk, web use and text, with the latter offering unlimited international calls as well.
The phone comes with a 4-inch touchscreen giving a resolution of 800×480, a dual core 1.2Ghz processor, a front camera of 0.3 megapixel and a 5 megapixel rear camera, 1930mAh battery, 4GB storage space, 512MB RAM and a microSD slot. With such features, the phone can easily fit itself into the category of entry-level Windows Phones. The smartphone may not attract a large number of users, but it is noteworthy as it the first Windows Phone from the company. Also, experts predict that fans of the Windows Phone platform will be happy to see another major company coming on-board with the mobile platform from Microsoft.
Huawei has officially launched its Android based Smartphone Ascend Mate in Australia, at a press event in Sydney today.
According to the company the device is open for sale in Australia from Saturday, the 20th April 2013. The model released for Australia is almost similar to Asian and European models but has 1GB of RAM in place of 2GB and includes NFC in terms of connectivity. Although the device does not run on Australian 4G LTE networks used by Telstra and Optus, it is compatible with all 3G and 2G networks.
Huawei Ascend Mate features include a massive a 6.1 inch HD IPS+ display with 1280×720 resolution at 241 ppi. It is powered by 1.5GHz quad core processor with 1GB RAM. It has 8GB of internal memory including a microSD slot for expansion of memory. It sports an 8 mega pixel HDR rear facing camera and 1 mega pixel front facing HD camera for video calls. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS
Other specifications of Ascend Mate include Huawei’s Emotion UI overlay. It has 4050mAh battery which is likely to last for 2 days on normal usage and 9 days on standby. The device measures 163.5×85.7×9.9mm with 6.6mm thinnest part and weighs 198 grams.
The device goes on sale exclusively at Harvey Norman at a price of $429 including $40 for prepaid Boost SIM.
Chinese electronics manufacturer Huawei is ready to release its Ascend G330 in U.K. by early December 2012. Huawei has recently announced Ascend G330 at IFA 2012 in Berlin officially. It is an upgrade to its prevailing model G300. The device is brought into the market aiming at new, price conscious customers.
Ascend G330 is available on a contract basis from TalkTalk at a sensible price of $15.93, $23.90 and $31.87 per month including a free handset whereas the SIM-free handset is available at $159.33. The handset with other networks is expected to arrive in the next year.
The features of Ascend G330 include a 4 inch TFT Captive touch screen display with 480 x 800 pixels at 233 PPI resolutions with 122.5×62.6×11.2 dimensions and weighs 130 grams. It is driven by 1GHz Cortex – A5 dual-core processor with Qualcomm MSN82225 Snapdragon chipset. It has Adreno 203 GPU and 512MB of RAM with 4GB of internal storage and a micro SD slot to expand the internal storage capacity. It has a 5 mega pixel VGA front facing camera for video chats.
The device runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. It has Wi-Fi, HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.1 and micro USB 2.0 connectivity options. It also shows off of a 1500mAh battery allowing 5 hours of talk time and 350 hours of standby.
Ascend G330 also has few other features including pre-loaded applications, EA’s Sims Freeplay and BBC’s iPlayer for automatic downloading. It allows the users to download over 700,000 applications through Google Play. It also features Facebook, WhatsApp Messenger, Fun physics game, Angry Birds and Star Wars.
China based Electronics Company Huawei has announced the launch of its latest Android Smartphone – the Ascend D1 Quad in Australia on 22nd November 2012. The Smartphone will be directly available at JB Hi-Fi from Friday, 23 November 2012 at a price of $516.57.
Ascend D1 quad is unavailable from regular Telco carriers like Optus, Vodafone and Telstra.

It runs on Huawei’s own 1.4GHz K3V2 quad-core processor. It has Google’s Android 4.0. Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System with power management system accentuating up to 30% power savings.
It also includes an 8-megapixel Autofocus BSI rear camera with dual LED flash and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera with 1920x1080Full HD video output. It also has Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound with Audience earSmart Voice Technology. Coming to the specifications, it is 64mm narrow and 8.9mm slim and has 1800mAh battery that can last for one to two days on normal usage. It also has multi-format document support and multi-email support.
China based Electronics Company Huawei is rumoured of launching its first Windows 8 Phone Ascend W1 at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to be held at Las Vegas in January 2013.
WPCentral posted the images of Ascend W1 online and claims that the mid-range device may make its official debut at CES and also rumoured that the unlocked device may be available at $310, although the company is yet to confirm on this.
The launch of Ascend W1 in U.S. market is still unclear. Huawei shares a strong relationship with T-Mobile USA and the device could probably debut there.
Huawei has announced about expanding its relationship with Microsoft for its first Windows 8 Smartphone handset. Ascend W1; being the first Windows 8 Phone increases the company’s Smartphone portfolio. It also plans to carry the Windows Phone operating system to a larger number of audiences.
The specifications of the Ascend W1 are expected to have a 4 inch 800×480 WVGA display. It is driven by 1.2GHz dual-core processor. Coming to camera, it has on both sides, a 5 mega pixel rear-facing camera and a VGA front-facing 3 mega pixel camera. It also has 4GB of in-built memory storage, 512MB of RAM and a 2,000mAh battery.
China based electronics manufacturer Huawei is rumoured to unveil its new Windows 8 Phone – Ascend W3 – at the Consumer Electronics Show to be held at Las Vegas in January 2013. The pictures of Ascend W3 have been leaked online by the Chinese website WinP.cn.
So far the company has not confirmed anything about the handset but it is rumoured that Ascend W3 is the third Windows 8 Phone and is larger and high-end model compared to its previous models. Earlier this year, there were rumours about Huawei’s first two Windows 8 Phones – the Ascend W1 and Ascend W2.
Based on the pictures it is expected to have a 4.5-inch screen and measures 132 x 67 with 10mm of thickness. The shape is undoubtedly interesting and it shows off an 8-megapixel camera in the back panel and has a 1080p with HD video recording. Based on the appearance of the LTE icon on the screen, it is learnt that the handset offers 4G network in some markets.
The company is particularly slow in bringing its devices to the UK, as the early announced Android models are yet to hit the market. The pricing details are yet to be revealed.
