The technology is designed to allow the devices powered by Android to focus well under dim light conditions and lock the moving objects much faster. Experts have applauded the innovation but also opined that it would have limited effect on the firm’s ranking at a global level.

Jasdeep Badyal, analyst at telecoms consultancy CCS Insight stated that it has become a tough task to identify the handsets just by the way they look.

He also added that a gadget needs to be loaded with few standout features which would help the retailer to explain why it is better than the rest of the gadgets in the store when a buyer visits the store.

The G3 flaunts a 5.5 inch screen with 538 pixels / inch which makes it the gadget with a high resolution than its rivals in the market, G5 of Samsung. The laser auto focus function of this gadget allows the user to focus in just 0.276 seconds.

World’s Thinnest LCD Smartphone Panel Unveiled by LG

LCD Smartphone Panel

Electronics major LG recently revealed the slimmest full HD LCD smartphone panel in the world. The panel is just 2.2mm thick and 5.2 inches in length, with the company going on record in saying that this panel is the narrowest one ever to hit the market.

Using flexible dual printed circuits, direct bonding system and touch technology, LG claims that the panel lines’ number is reduced by 30% that allows greater brightness.

LCD Smartphone Panel

Byeong-Koo Kim, Vice President of Mobile and IT Development Group, LG Display, said that their latest offering shows that the top-end smartphone category is moving towards a better future every passing day and thanks to their world class expertise in touch and IPS technologies, LG is playing its role in it as well.

When it comes in pushing the envelope in the tablet and smartphone display technology, LG is quite famous and is easily one of the most influential players. The company announced last month that they are planning to trigger the production of unbreakable and flexible smartphone display panels for the mass market. This will apparently be lighter and thinner when compared with the conventional LCD displays.

But LG is not the only one as it is likely to face some high competition from the likes of Nokia, Apple and Samsung in this segment.
