New Precision M3800 Laptop by Dell

Dell has confirmed that they are now working on Dell Precision M3800 laptop. The device will be officially unveiled later this year.

Some of the details and specs of this device have been put up on Dell’s official page. The company has also put up videos of the device to give a detailed look to the visitors. This is described as the lightest and thinnest work station. It weighs 4.5lbs, and is around 3/4th of inch at 18mm.

The creative professionals can expect to get certified performance from the product and it certainly gives value for money. It has an excellent resolution of 3,200 x 1,800 QHD+ resolution that is more than the 2,880 x 1,800 resolution of MacBook Pro.

M3800 comes with Intel Core i7 fourth generation processor with NVIDIA Quadro graphics. It is also provided with 2GB dedicated memory and offers K1100 GPU to its users.

These were the official details provided by Dell but there are rumours that it will also have HDMI port, four USB3.0 slots and an SD card reader. There are battery options pegged between 61Wh to 91Wh. This product from Dell will be priced around $1699 and $1999.

Dell Expands Ubuntu Developed Sputnik XPS 13 Laptop to EuropeDell has announced the availability of its Ubuntu-powered Sputnik XPS 13 laptop in Europe. The company made the announcement yesterday expressing its interest in expanding the sales in the region. The laptop was earlier released in US in December 2012.

Sputnik XPS 13 is equipped with added hardware upgrades for all markets. The newest iteration called Sputnik 2 by the company is an improved display resolution to 1080p. The new version of this XPS 13 will be available in Europe at a price of $1549 and in UK and other selected countries at $1671.

The Ultrabook features a 13.3-inch panel with 1366 x768 pixel resolution. The new version has 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It has 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SATA III SSD and a low-voltage Ivy Bridge – a third-generation Intel Core i7-3537U CPU with Intel HD 4000 graphics. It comes with preloaded Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and cloud-oriented software. It weighs 1.36kg/2.99 lbs.

The new version will be available for sales in next few weeks.
