There is good news for people who had been anticipating the release of the high resolution Ativ Book 9 Ultrabook. Samsung has finally unveiled one of its much anticipated products in the recent times. The Ativ Book9 plus would be on sale from 20th August and would be available at $1,400.
The speciality about this laptop is its high resolution display which offers 3200 x 1800 pixels. Speaking about the specifications, it is powered by the 1.6 Haswell Core i5-4200 U dual core processor.
The Ultrabook has a 13.3 inch screen and has been designed to make it lighter than the previous releases. Other powerful inclusions are the 4 GB DDR3 RAM and the Intel HD 4400 graphics. The Ultrabook provides an internal storage of 128GB SSD (solid state disk) and is compatible with all the recent Windows 8 Operating Systems.
Ativ Book 9 plus comes with 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Intel WiDi wireless display, SDXC card reader, and the Gigabit Ethernet. The Ultrabook weighs around 3.5 pounds and is 0.7 inch in thickness. The company expects the Ultrabook to give a backup of around 12 hours which seems quite impressive.
Samsung has priced its ATIV Book 9 Lite at $800 and it is slated to be launched on July 28. Though ATIV Book 9 is the leader for Samsung in ultra book market, but one cannot afford to ignore ATIV Book 9 Lite as it comes with a host of exciting features. It provides the users value for their money and comes packed with style and elegance. This device is said to be the brother of ATIV Book 9 and is very light to hold. Weighing just 1.44 Kg it is ultra slim and measures 16.9 mm. Its chassis has been made of metal but it’s not that smooth when compared with ATIV Book 9.
This device can improve on some parts like its resolution and processor. It comes with a meager resolution of 1,366×768 pixels and a quad core processor of 1.4 GHz. But to see the brighter side the users will be getting AMD graphics card, 128GB SSD and 4GB RAM. If the users are ready to make few compromises especially on the processor part then this device can prove to be a good value for money.
Samsung has announced its Windows 8 Series 7 Ultrabook laptops – Chronos and Ultra, yesterday.
The Series 7 Chronos features a 15.6-inch full HD display with 1080 pixel resolution along with a 10-point multi-touch optional display. It has an i7 Intel core Central Processor Unit with 1TB of HD space. It has the latest AMD Radeon HD 8870 GPU graphics chip with 2GB RAM of internal memory that can be expanded up to 16GB. Its RAM accelerator provides up to 150 percent of high speed for browsing and running applications. The company claims that the battery life lasts for 11 hours on a single charge.
The Series 7 Ultra features a 13.3-inch 1080p full HD display with optional touch screen. It has i5 and i7 Intel Core processors. It has AMD graphics with 1GB RAM that can be expanded up to 16GB along with a 256 GB SSD. The company claims that its battery lasts for 8 hours on a single charge.
The availability and the pricing details of the new laptops that are specially made for Windows 8 are yet unknown.
