A couple of Samsung Tab S2 8.0 photos are making the rounds online. The model number of the device is SM-T715.The slate had also gone to the FCC for certifications which confirms the model number.
The specs of the Tab S2 include a 1.9 GHz octa-core processor; most likely an Exynos 7420 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM and 16GB expandable memory. This might be the week for Microsoft to launch its mini tablet finally. It looks like the wait will be finally over.
The software giant has sent many invitations for the tablet launch this week at New York. The event is the debut of its Surface Mini tablet which would be complimenting its earlier tablets of Surface Pro 2 and Surface 2 that Microsoft has already in the market.
It is not clear if the new Surface Mini would be much smaller than Surface Pro versions. Surface Pro 2 features Windows 8.1 OS which can run with all applications. It also uses Windows RT which is not a popular version of Windows that can run on processors of mobile phones.
Only Microsoft and its subsidiary Nokia are manufacturing such RT devices. Interestingly you can find a range of covers for Mini Surface tablet that has its cover maker calling it as Surface X.
This even proves that the name of the device might be Surface X or just X. The launch of this 7 inch or 8 inch mini tablet would even feature a major update of the mighty 1.6 inched Surface Pro.

It is yet to be decided by the company whether they are going to release these phones outside India but “something positive” is still on the cards, according to company executive Ron Coughlin.
He said that numerous reasons were taken into consideration on why they have chosen India as the launch pad for these phones. The first and foremost reason to make such a move is because India is a big market and is expanding every passing day.
HP has always remained optimistic when it comes to reviving its own Smartphone efforts. It seems as though the company is all set to make a comeback but, the fanfare might not be there as many were hoping for.
It is believed that HP has decided to launch seven-inch and six-inch Android tablets within a few weeks time from now that would specifically target the lucrative markets of India and China.
The new devices to be launched by the company are expected to be priced around $ 250 without any contract. The good part about these devices is that they would have the recycled designs from some of the well-known and renowned manufacturers like Quanta and Pegatron.
Even though the company has not yet commented on these developments, there is no doubt about the fact that majority of Smartphone makers operating in the market would be facing a tough challenge once these devices are introduced.
It is expected that the company will first test the Smartphone market by introducing its products to lucrative global markets. Along with that, HP will concentrate more on the original hardware, carrier deals and corporate apps which are crucial if it wants to capture the more established areas.
