The already competitive tablet market is about to welcome some new entries as Toshiba is bringing in 3 new Excite tablets that will feature Tegra 3 and Tegra 4 processors with high resolution displays. These tablets will be available online from the later part of June and will be hitting the shelves in July.
The 3 new tablets that are coming in are Excite Pro, Excite Write and Excite Pure. All of them will be adorning a display of 10.1 inch, with Excite Write and Excite Pro being PixelPure 2560×1600 Retina-competitors. They will be running on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 operating system and will be featuring the touch-screen digitizer, Harman Kardon speaker and NVIDIA Tegra processors ( Tegra 4- White and Pro, Tegra 3- Pure).
The touch-screen digitizer will be offered on the Excite Write that is priced at $599.99. It aims at digital artists who will be requiring more precision for their everyday work. The company claims that the tablet will be offering the experience of “pen and paper”, which will make the “feel” far more detailed and natural for things like handwriting notes and drawing.
Excite Pure comes with a price tag of $299.99 and will feature a 16GB memory, 3 mega pixel camera and 1GB RAM. The Excite Pro will be available for $499.99 with twice the storage space and RAM and an 8 mega pixel camera.
Toshiba’s Digital Products Division has announced the availability of its latest multimedia-rich tablet – Excite10 SE, at a press meet in California. The tablet is available in U.S. directly from Toshiba at ToshibaDirect.com and at all selected retailers from 6th December 2012 onwards. The 16GB model is available at a starting price of $349.99. The availability of the tablet in Australia is yet to be announced.

The stereo speakers with SRS Premium Voice Pro provides with an enhanced audio experience for music, video and games. It is slim and light at 10mm thickness and weighs 640 grams. Its connectivity options include an 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. Apart from the charger, the micro USB port also charges the tablet.
The Excite 10 SE is covered with a textured Fusion Lattice making it easy to hold and comfortable to carry.

Tecra R940 will be competing with the recently released Samsung Series 9, Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon and Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A that are well known for their solid drives and long battery life.
The features of Tecra R940 include a 14-inch screen with 1366×766 pixel resolution at 16:9 aspect ratios. It is driven by a dual-core Intel i5 processor with latest Ivy Bridge integrated graphics. It has 4GB of RAM with 500GB hard drive that spins at 7200rpm. It also has a DVD drive and its dimensions are 341 x 239 x 27.4mm and weighs 2000 grams.
The Tecra R940 connectivity has both wireless and cable specifications.
